On June 17 and 18, the EMSE department hosted the 18th annual Technology, Management, and Policy (TMP) Doctoral Consortium. This is the first time GW has hosted the event. The TMP Consortium is an annual meeting of doctoral students doing technology and policy research and is designed to give students an opportunity to present their work and to strengthen the technology and policy research network. This year, 21 students participated representing GW, Penn State, MIT, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Carnegie Mellon University, TU Delft, George Mason University, University of Cambridge, University College London, and IST Lisbon. Awards for the top two presentations were given to EMSE doctoral student Suparna Mukherjee and MIT student Magdalena Klemun. The main organizers of the consortium were EMSE faculty members Drs. John Helveston, Ekundayo Shittu, Zoe Szajnfarber, and Rene van Dorp.
