In a recent episode of Food Tank’s podcast Food Access titled, “Hunger Rises as the Consequences of Dismantling USAID Deepen,” Caitlin Grady, Associate Professor at GW Engineering and Director of Research and Policy at GW’s Global Food Institute (GFI), discussed the lasting effects of dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Alongside fellow food systems researcher Patrick Webb of Tufts University, Grady detailed GFI research demonstrating how relationships and trust between the U.S. and local partners have been damaged as a result of the agency’s closure.
